Today the Assembly Rooms is being given it's final layer of paint. The paint that had previously been used was a lime wash, but it didn't take well and as you will have noticed made the appearance of the exterior of the Assembly Rooms looked quite unsightly, which was a great shame for such a great building. So we're thrilled with the outcome this time around, much research was put in to ensure the right type of paint was purchased for the lime render. The paint is from a company called SecilTEK who specialise in Silicate Paint and was applied by Craig Harris of Wayland Painting Services.
