On Friday 13th the official Breckland launch of ShopAppy took place just outside of the Market Cross. Traditionally this date is associate with bad luck, but ShopAppy founder Jackie Mullagen hopes it will see the beginning of a positive turnaround in footfall in the town.
There was lots to get people's interest, including free 'Swaffham Sizzler' hot dogs being served, a free raffle and lots of well known faces from the town and Breckland.
Town crier Nigel Wilkin compared the event and town Mayor Jill Skinner was there to oversee proceedings.
There will be another event in the town on May 26th to explain the concept further to potential customers.
